Breaking news: bombing in North Darfur

Reports are coming in of an Antonov bomber on a bombing campaign right now in the regions of Anka and Donkey Housh in North Darfur. The reports are being relayed by Darfuri community leader Mohamed Suleiman of California.

The BBC is reporting that an argument between soldiers of Sudan's joint North-South army and a market trader in the town of Abyei led to a clash between the soldiers and police units that left one North Sudanese man dead and nine injured.

On November 24, 2008, Mohamed Haroun, a refugee from Darfur died due to wounds suffered during an armed robbery in the state of Kentucky.
Imagine that you were one of the few lucky ones, who had evaded the bombings and Janjaweed raids in Darfur, survived your time in the IDP and refugee camps and was one of just over 10,000 people from Sudan to be selected to be resettled in the United States.

Dear All,
1- North Darfur: contacts with an Omdah ( local tribe leader), 2 school teachers, and a rebel leader on the ground in North Darfur. All witnessed today a GoS military aircraft (Antonove) overflying villages in north Darfur(North west of Kutum town). The Aircraft kept circulating for more than 3 hours over villages of: Korbia, Um Marahik, Um Shidig, Door.
Korbia, where there is a Khazan( water reservoir), was bombed exactly four weeks ago (Friday 11/14/2008). I was told that there are still unexploded ordinance from last raid.
