Membership Associate
Genocide Intervention Network (GI-NET) empowers individuals and communities with the tools to prevent and stop genocide. GI-NET's goal is to build the first permanent anti-genocide constituency in the United States.
GI-NET is seeking applications to fill the Associate position in its Membership Department. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional who will support the growth of GI-NET's membership and volunteer network. The Membership Associate will report to the Membership Department.
All employees of GI-NET must be committed, self-motivated professionals, with the ability to work effectively independently and in a team oriented environment.
Summary of Qualifications
Candidate should also have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 1 year experience in grassroots mobilizing
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
Job Description
The Membership Associate is the public face of GI-NET to its members, ensuring that members are aware of and have access to GI-NET's advocacy, educational and fundraising tools. Job duties include:
- Coordinating the drafting of member newsletters, action alerts, Genocide Monitor articles, and blog postings.
- Coordinating arrangements for high-quality, well-attended speaking engagements for members of GI-NET management staff.
- Managing and coordinating logistics for special events including venue, publicity, and materials.
- Drafting and editing content for print and web-based membership materials and resources.
- Processing member information requests; responding to emails from GI-NET's public information mailbox; and processing merchandise orders.
Compensation
Low to mid $30's
