Don't Forget to Vote Today!
Don't Forget to Vote Today!

The Genocide Intervention Network (GI-NET) would like to remind and urge all our readers and members to get out today and vote.
For each of us here in the Washington, DC offices, a candidate's position on the genocide in Darfur and response to mass human rights atrocities is a major item of contention in deciding which candidate to vote for. That's why early on in the primary season, we worked with the Save Darfur Coalition, STAND, and the ENOUGH Action Fund to bring you Ask the Candidates, a website devoted to asking all the presidential candidates what their position was on Darfur and what actions if any they would take to end the conflict upon taking office.
Before heading into the voting booth today, we would encourage all our readers to take another look at each of the candidates' statements throughout the election season on Darfur--all have been archived on Ask the Candidates.
If Darfur is an important issue to you this election season, please take a minute today to email five friends with a link to Ask the Candidates--ask your friends to make Darfur an issue they care about when casting a vote as well.
Thanks to all the campaign staffers who have returned our questionaires for the candidates and all the grassroots activists who've worked to make the Ask the Candidates campaign a success. Tonight, we will be waiting and watching with you as the election results come in.
